Newcastle is the largest populated city in the North East region and lies at the urban core of Tyneside, stretching along and up from the banks of the River Tyne.  It is easily accessible, with major routes into the city including the A1, A69, A1058, A184 and A167. It is also home to Newcastle Airport and Newcastle Central station, a nationally important transport hub.

As well as being highly modern, with access to a vast array of shops including Eldon Square Shopping Centre, a plethora of eateries, cafes, clubs and pubs for all tastes and occasions, it is also a city steeped in history and culture. Check out its medieval streets (the narrow alleys or ‘chares‘), the 14th century Castle Keep and structures dating from the 15th–18th centuries, including Bessie Surtee’s House, the Cooperage and Lloyds Quayside Bars.

As well as being a vibrant, thriving, buzzing city with top night life spots, theatre, festivals and fairs, Newcastle also offers peace and tranquility, with its beautiful green parks, such as Leazes and Exhibition Park and the Town Moor. This is around 400 hectares of open space providing grazing land for cattle, great pathed spaces to walk, cycle or run and a green heart to the city. There really is something for everyone here, day or night!
